Focusing on managing Texas wildlife habitat and natural resources for native and exotic wild game species, for this and future generation of hunters and outdoor enthusiasts.
Sikas prefer the dark and dusk hours to do their feeding and moving, so
early morning hunts are the best option. Getting to the blind well in advance of the first signs of daylight is a must, however with patience the hunter will be in a great position to see and hopefully bag a gold medal buck. By far the
Sika deer are most active in the rut season in the spring and fall. The bucks are much more likely to be out and about in the early and pre-dusk hours, plus they will bugle, alerting hunters to their general position and vicinity.
